Art Deco 1910-1939



Art Deco came to be in the 1960’s referred to as a style that ruled the roaring 1920s, it was a break from the daunting 1930s. It began in Europe started in Paris during ww1 it stopped for a short period and then the rocketed off.

The movement was very forward for the time giving the people something they have been so trusty for, it brought the Hollywood life style into architecture and in design, this movement influenced fine art and many form of creative design, like fashion, film, photography and transport completely modern and it was everywhere.


This style drew upon both traditional ways of life and the modern world. This style run into action from the start you could see facades of city skylines from New York to Shanghai all adorned with Art Deco design. During the Art Deco period they designers embraced handcrafted workmanship together with machine production, this gave people works that an exhibition pieces and at affordable prices with decent materials.
 






Art Deco inspired Contemporary design, this patterns a direct development, and it uses straight lines and Modern shinny material.
