Jugendstil 1890 -1910

Jugendstil refers to a movement of the 19th century in Germany it came about during the 1890's and continued up until the 1st world war, modern art translated Jugendstil to German for "Youth Style", this movement was simultaneously occurring while the art nouveau movement. 
Many Movement inspired the Jugendstil Movement some being the arts and crafts, prints form Alphonse Mucha and expressive line paintings. 


The designers during the Jugendstil movement were known for their tapestry work they came up with simple designs that were very elegant, using pastel colours and natural lines/curves they created a very classy design.
